Day 1: Friday, November 6thWelcome to Joburg! Once you arrive you’ll be received at O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) with a warm welcome. When you get settled, we’ll head out to our welcome dinner in the city.

Day 2: Saturday, November 7thToday we’ll start at the Apartheid Museum to learn about South Africa’s history, the impact of apartheid, and the legacy of the country’s first Black president, Nelson Mandela.
Afterward, we’ll head to Soweto, the most famous township in South Africa, known for its role in the anti-apartheid movement.
Tonight, we're going out in Sandton the richest square mile in Africa known for their nightlife!

Day 3: Sunday, November 8thGet your cameras ready because today we’re going on an amazing safari drive where we’ll get a chance to see the Big 5! After our game drive we'll enjoy dinner and rest before our flight tomorrow morning!

Day 4: Monday, November 9thRise and shine! Today we’re flying to Cape Town! Once we get settled at our hotel we’ll head to Bo Kaap to see the iconic brightly colored houses that represent freedom and expression for many in Cape Town!
Next, we'll rest at the hotel before dinner at GOLD restaurant, known for their authentic African experience and live drumming!

Day 5: Tuesday, November 10thWe’re starting our day with a ferry ride to Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela, Robert Sobukwe, and many other political leaders were imprisoned for decades for leading the anti-apartheid movement. After the tour, we’ll enjoy lunch and take part in our service project with youth in the local township of Langa. We'll end the day at V&A Waterfront for dinner and to shop for souvenirs!

Day 6: Wednesday, November 11thFree Day! Enjoy your day to yourself exploring Cape Town! You can shop for souvenirs, try local restaurants, go to a museum, or kick back by the hotel pool!

Day 7: Thursday, November 12thThis morning we'll take a cable car up to the top of Table Mountain, one of the Seven Wonders of Nature! After enjoying the view, we'll return back to the hotel, grab our bags and catch our flight to Joburg!

Day 8: Friday, November 13thToday we’re going to Lesedi Cultural Village to experience aspects of the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Ndebele and Basotho culture and tribes! Tonight we'll enjoy our final dinner and last night out in South Africa!

Day 9: Saturday, November 14thWe made it to the last day! We’re headed to the airport to make our way back to the states! The trip may be over but you’ll return with amazing memories, connections, and a new HBCU family!
