Day 1: Thursday, July 2ndWelcome to Brazil! Once you arrive you’ll check in to our 4 star hotel! Tonight will be our welcome dinner where we’ll get to try some authentic Brazilian food!
Flights leave from the U.S. on Wednesday, July 1st. Please book roundtrip flights to RIOgaleão International Airport (GIG).

Day 2: Friday, July 3rdToday we’re going to Little Africa to learn about Afro-Brazilian history and culture! Then, we'll go behind the scenes of Carnival to see costumes up close and discover how Brazil’s biggest celebration comes to life!

Day 3: Saturday, July 4thToday we’ll visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer, one of the 7 Wonders of the World! Then we'll take in the views from Sugarloaf Mountain and snap photos at the colorful Selarón Steps.
Next we’ll head back to the hotel to rest and get ready for dinner!

Day 4: Sunday, July 5thGrab your bags! Today we’re taking a flight to Salvador de Bahia, the Blackest part of Brazil! Once we land we’ll have time to rest and have some free time to explore Bahia!

Day 5: Monday, July 6thToday we’ll experience Afro Brazil on our Black immersion tour! We’ll learn about the history, culture, music, and food of Afro Brazil. We’ll also get a chance to experience Capoeira, an Afro Brazilian fight and dance!
After our tour we're heading to the water! We'll go to the beach to get picked up for our catamaran sail around Bahia and enjoy the amazing vibes and views!

Day 6: Tuesday, July 7thThis morning we’ll take part in our service project in a Favela in Bahia and get a chance to spend sometime with the students and staff that are making an impact in their community.
After our service project, the day is yours! You can head to a local beach with us to relax, go to the markets to souvenir shop, or rest and enjoy the hotel!

Day 7: Wednesday, July 8thThis morning we're heading back to Rio! Once we arrive we'll check into our hotel and enjoy free time in the city. Later tonight we'll meet back up for our last night group dinner!

Day 8: Thursday, July 9thWe made it to the last day! Today we'll make our way to the airport. The trip may be over but you’ll return with a new HBCU family and amazing memories of Brazil!
